  • Everybody has a different level of pain tolerance, but most clients are completely comfortable and relaxed during their appointment. To help with any slight discomfort, you may take Tylenol prior to the appointment but do not take Aspirin. A highly effective numbing solution is applied before and during the treatment. Clients have compared the sensation to tweezing or threading your eyebrows.

  • Permanent Cosmetics are not safe for women who are pregnant or nursing. Due to hormonal changes in the body, pregnancy can cause different (and sometimes undesirable) results once healed.

  • Many different factors play a role in the lifespan of the cosmetic pigment, with your skin type playing the biggest role in longevity and the general outcome of the procedure. Oily skin types may heal softer with a powder finish while drier skin types may heal more crisp and defined.

    Proper UVA/UVB protection is strongly recommended to prevent your colour from fading as quickly.To keep your PMU vibrant and fresh-looking, avoid aggressive skin treatments such as laser, chemical peels, dermabrasion, etc. You will likely require a colour boost for brows and eyes every 1-2 years. For lips, you’ll need a colour boost every 2+ years.

  • Most clients require 2 sessions to have their brows perfected. Touch-up appointments can be made 4 - 6 weeks after your initial appointment using our online booking system. Clients with fuller brows may not need a touchup. 

    Your first touch-up is complimentary if done so within 4 - 6 weeks after the initial application. Please check our price list for additional touch-ups. 

    Annual touchups are highly recommended to maintain the best results.

  • Your brow tattoo can last 1 - 3 years and lips 2 - 5 years. This, of course, depends on sun exposure, lifestyle and skin types. Oily skin types tend to fade faster than dry skin types.

  • Appointments are booked on a 2.5 – 3.5 hour basis, allowing for thorough consultation and treatment. Application times vary for each treatment. Please arrive 5 minutes early to your appointment and block out 4 hours in your schedule to be on the safe side.

  • We’ll begin by mapping out your new design with makeup and use various measuring devices to create ideal symmetry between both eyebrows. An assessment will determine the correct blade and needle size for your specific skin type as well as the correct colour choice for your skin tone. A numbing solution will be applied during the procedure to ensure the appointment is as comfortable as possible.

    Expect your appointment to be very interactive with consistent check-ins to ensure your desired results.

  • Every client has a new, single-use needle. At the beginning of your treatment, you can observe the needles being taken out of a sterile pre-packed casing. On completion of the treatment, the needles are placed into a sharps container and then disposed of correctly. Nude. Permanent Makeup is fully licensed, certified, insured, B.C Health Service inspected and approved. We have and continue to meet and exceed all requirements for aesthetic and tattoo health services. Jessica Hatler, the owner, has also been certified in Blood Borne Pathogens.

  • Most clients leave the appointment with little to no redness. The numbing solution used during the appointment helps to control any swelling which means you can continue on with your day! Your results will vary depending on skin type, lifestyle and the immediate and long-term aftercare of your new tattoo. Once healed (after 4 weeks), the colour will reduce by 30 - 50%. Patchiness and lightness can be perfected during your second session.

    I send clients home with a moisturizing ointment to apply throughout the following 10 days.
